Welcome! This portal is for academic institutions and organizations to manage their AHTA Horticultural Therapy Certificate Program Accreditation. AHTA accreditation ensures your program meets nationally-endorsed standards and fulfills the requirements for professional registration.

- 1 New Program Accreditation: For programs seeking first-time AHTA accreditation.
- 2 Accreditation Renewal: Required every five (5) years to maintain active status.
- 3 Program Change Notification: For staff or course changes made prior to the 5-year renewal period.

Core Requirements
- College Credit: All HT coursework must be for college credit, providing a minimum of nine (9) semester credits.
- AHTA Membership: The institution seeking accreditation must be an Organizational Member of AHTA.
- Qualified Instructors: Specialization coursework must be taught by a current professionally registered horticultural therapist (HTR/HTM).
Submission Checklist
Please have the following digital documents (PDF format) ready for upload:
- Detailed program proposal including course content and learning objectives.
- Current resumes for all professionally registered instructors (max 2 pages per instructor).
- For college-affiliated programs, a letter confirming the credit agreement.
- Documented summary of changes (for Renewal or Program Change applications).

- Applications are assessed within eight (8) weeks of submission.
- Incomplete applications will be returned without action.
- No refunds will be provided once your form is submitted and paid for.
